About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Frederick, Hagerstown, Maryland, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, offering an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice. The role involves an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day, allowing time to support families and focus on patient care. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. The position includes onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities at two days per week offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
