Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Mid-Hudson Valley, New York, including Warwick, Middletown, Port Jervis, Monroe, Newburgh, New Windsor, New City, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently in the field while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. The position includes a guaranteed base salary with no negative accrual, bonus opportunities, and a tenure bonus. Some benefits listed are available to full-time team members only.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Travel to appointments in the Mid-Hudson Valley, NY service area.
- Work independently in the field while staying connected to the organization’s support and mentorship resources.
