About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Reno, Nevada, including Sparks, Sun Valley, Carson City, Fernley, Spanish Springs, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling, typically two to five days per week, and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities have a guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000, with bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Successful completion of a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
Travel to appointments in Reno, Sparks, Sun Valley, Carson City, Fernley, Spanish Springs, and surrounding areas.
Work some weekends.
