Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Manhattan/New York City, NY, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $75,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Candidates must hold a veterinary degree, have a valid U.S. driver's license, be available to work some weekends, and meet the stated lifting requirements. Candidates will undergo background and motor vehicle record checks after hire and before their start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must complete a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Practice independently while participating in onboarding, mentorship, and available clinical support.
