Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Manhattan/New York City, NY, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role is designed to offer a flexible schedule and unhurried appointments, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, support from experienced leaders, and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $75,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Schedules of three, four, or five days per week are also available, with compensation details provided upon request. Candidates must be available to work some weekends and meet the stated lifting requirements. A background and motor vehicle record check will be conducted after hire and before the associated start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in a mobile setting.
- Practice veterinary medicine independently while using the available mentorship and support resources.
