Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Corrales, Sandia Park, Santa Fe, Tijeras, New Mexico, and surrounding areas. The role offers a veterinarian-founded alternative to in-clinic practice, with the opportunity to practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The position offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and averages three to four appointments per day, allowing veterinarians to spend more time with families and less time on paperwork. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Subject to a post-hire background check and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Conduct mobile appointments in the listed New Mexico service areas.
- Practice independently while staying connected to Lap of Love’s support community.
