About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Lakeland, Florida, including Davenport, Plant City, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. A two-day-per-week schedule has a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in a mobile setting.
Travel to appointments in Lakeland, Davenport, Plant City, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Haines City, and surrounding areas.
