About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Grand Rapids, Michigan, including Wyoming, Rockford, Ada, Kentwood, Caledonia, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling, typically two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, ongoing training, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate mobile hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
Travel to appointments in Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Rockford, Ada, Kentwood, Caledonia, and surrounding areas.
Work some weekends.
Participate in onboarding, training, and mentorship.
