Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Suffolk County, NY, and surrounding areas, including Smithtown, Ronkonkoma, Huntington, Lindenhurst, Bay Shore, and West Islip. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, supporting them during meaningful end-of-life moments. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unrushed appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available at two days per week with a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request. Candidates will be subject to background and motor vehicle record checks after hire and before their start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
