Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time, in-home mobile veterinarian serving Oceanside, California, including Fallbrook, Encinitas, San Clemente, Vista, Carlsbad, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and averages three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The role is veterinarian-founded and operated within a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Part-time opportunities are available at two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request. Full-time team members have access to additional benefits.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Attend an average of three to four appointments per day.
- Work some weekends.
- Practice independently while using available mentorship and support resources.
