Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Albany, NY, including Schenectady, Troy, Amsterdam, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, and surrounding areas. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned and offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, providing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role involves practicing independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities for two to five days per week. Veterinarians average three to four appointments per day. The part-time, two-day-per-week opportunity offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for full-time schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Practice independently while collaborating with experienced leaders and support professionals.
- Work a flexible schedule of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day.
