About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Ann Arbor, Howell, Ypsilanti, Brighton, Livonia, Canton, Michigan, and surrounding areas. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned, offering an alternative to in-clinic practice focused on professional fulfillment and personal freedom. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families during meaningful end-of-life moments. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and averages three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The posting describes a guaranteed base salary of $55,000 annually for two-day-per-week opportunities, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
