Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving the Jersey Shore, New Jersey area, including Toms River, Brick Township, Freehold, Manchester Township, Jackson Township, Howell Township, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian will provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers a flexible schedule of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unrushed appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The listed part-time opportunity is for a two-day-per-week schedule and offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Candidates must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and be available to work some weekends. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Candidates will undergo background and motor vehicle record checks after hiring and before their start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Travel to appointments in the Jersey Shore, New Jersey service area.
