About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Westchester County, New York, including Bronx, Yonkers, White Plains, New Rochelle, Scarsdale, Yorktown Heights, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care to pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available at two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $65,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for schedules of three, four, or five days per week are available upon request.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Pass a post-hire background and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
Travel to appointments within the designated service area.
