About The Position

The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on Class 5 through Class 8 trucks and recreational vehicles, following OEM and company guidelines at locations away from the main shops. The role also performs regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire trucks and other emergency vehicles to meet high-quality standards. The technician should understand appropriate techniques, materials, and safety procedures, and work efficiently with attention to detail.

The position is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment background check and drug screening. The background check may include verification of criminal history, employment history, educational credentials, and professional references. Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel technician.
• Proven experience as a fire truck technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Prior experience with commercial truck repair.

Nice To Haves

• Certification or training in fire apparatus maintenance and repair.
• CDL.
• Experience with fire truck repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire trucks and emergency vehicles.
• Maintain Class 5 through Class 8 trucks and recreational vehicles according to OEM and company guidelines at locations away from the main shops.
• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of firefighting equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with team members and provide technical support and guidance as necessary.
