About The Position

The Mobile Service Technician performs vehicle maintenance and repairs at customer locations, providing dealership-quality service and a convenient customer experience. The role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles while representing Sterling Heights Ford in the field. It is onsite and includes regular visits to customers’ homes. The position reports to the Service Manager. The dealership offers flat-rate pay of $40+ per hour, a 4–5 day work week, and opportunities for additional earnings and career advancement.

Requirements

Previous automotive repair experience.
At least 1 year of Ford experience.
Strong diagnostic skills.
Ability to work offsite with clients.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Team-oriented mindset and commitment to customer satisfaction and quality work.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications and/or manufacturer certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately in accordance with Ford and dealership standards.
Diagnose vehicle concerns and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Complete work in compliance with safety requirements and company policies.
Accurately document repairs, diagnostic procedures, test results, and labor times on repair orders.
Maintain a professional mobile work environment and uphold company standards.
Provide and maintain a personal inventory of standard automotive technician tools.
Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Sterling Heights Ford at customer locations.
