About The Position

BGIS is hiring a Traveling Facility Maintenance Technician (Mobile General Skilled Technician) in Houston, Texas. The technician supports the maintenance of client facilities by performing general repairs, small projects, and preventive maintenance. Working from a fully equipped service vehicle, the technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains building systems and equipment, helping prevent costly disruptions. The role also involves coordinating with clients and trade-specific technicians and following applicable safety standards and building regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency with tools and equipment, including power tools and ladders.
Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams.
Budget management experience.
Comfort using mobile devices such as cellphones and tablets for work orders.
Demonstrated experience in general repairs, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing, in commercial settings.
Commitment to safety best practices.

Responsibilities

Perform general repairs and small service projects, including work on walls, windows, and doors.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with appliances and building systems.
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance.

Engage with clients to confirm service requests and ensure satisfaction.

Provide accurate repair estimates.
