About The Position

BGIS is hiring a Traveling Facility Maintenance Technician (Mobile General Skilled Technician) in Houston, Texas. Working from a fully equipped service vehicle, the role handles general repairs, small projects, and preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains building systems and equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience performing general repairs, including painting, carpentry, and plumbing, in commercial settings.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment, including power tools such as drills and saws, and ladders.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams.
• Budget management experience.
• Comfort using mobile devices such as cellphones and tablets for work orders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor.
• Commitment to safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and small service projects, including work on walls, windows, and doors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with appliances and building systems.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Provide minor HVAC and plumbing support to trade-specific technicians.
• Engage with clients to confirm service requests and ensure satisfaction.
• Follow safety standards and building regulations.
• Provide accurate repair estimates.
