Mobile Dog Groomer
About The Position
Barkbus is hiring a Pet Stylist to provide dogs with a stress-free, luxury mobile grooming experience. The role focuses on one-on-one care and quality, with groomers typically managing schedules of 3–6 dogs per day. Groomers work independently from state-of-the-art Hanvey grooming vans, while scheduling, van maintenance, and logistical support are handled by dedicated company teams. Shift types can be selected to fit the groomer’s schedule. The first week includes training and ride-alongs, and employees can participate in a Community Day providing low-stress grooms at local shelters and rescues. The company is hiring for its Deer Valley and Tempe teams in the Phoenix area.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional dog grooming experience.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Comfort interacting with customers and pet parents.
- Comfort using smartphones; a device is provided.
- Ability to safely lift and handle dogs up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to safely guide or maneuver dogs up to 100 pounds using van equipment, such as a lift or grooming table.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one dog grooming, including bathing, cutting, shaving, and trimming.
- Walk dogs before appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming van.
- Operate independently using a Hanvey grooming van.
- Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining a manageable daily schedule.
