About The Position

Barkbus is hiring Pet Stylists to provide mobile dog grooming services in its Torrance, Westwood, and Woodland Hills teams in the Los Angeles area. The role delivers a stress-free, luxury grooming experience, with groomers completing appointments independently in state-of-the-art Hanvey grooming vans. Schedules are designed to support quality and manageable workloads, with approximately 3–6 dogs per day. Groomers can select from various shift types, and receive scheduling, concierge, fleet, and logistical support. The first week includes comprehensive training and ride-alongs. The role also includes participation in a Community Day providing low-stress grooms at local shelters and rescues.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional dog grooming experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfort interacting with customers or pet parents.
• Comfort using smartphones; a device is provided.
• Ability to safely lift and handle dogs weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to safely guide or maneuver dogs weighing up to 100 pounds using van equipment such as a lift or grooming table.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one grooming care, including bathing, cutting, shaving, and trimming dogs.
• Walk dogs before appointments and maintain a clean, organized van.
• Work independently in a Hanvey grooming van.
• Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining a manageable daily schedule.
• Participate in a Community Day providing low-stress grooms at local shelters and rescues.
