Mobile Dog Groomer
About The Position
Barkbus is hiring a Mobile Dog Groomer, also described as a Pet Stylist, to provide premium, one-on-one grooming in a mobile grooming van. The role delivers a luxury, low-stress experience for dogs and their owners, with schedules of approximately 3–6 dogs per day. Groomers can focus on grooming while Barkbus provides scheduling assistance and handles van maintenance and logistical support. The role offers various shift types to fit personal schedules. Full-time groomers receive a benefits package; the listed comprehensive benefits apply to employees working 30 or more hours per week. The role is available on Denver-area teams serving Centennial and Commerce City. New employees receive a first week of comprehensive training and ride-alongs, and participate in a Community Day providing low-stress grooming at local shelters and rescues.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional dog grooming experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and pet parents.
- Comfortable using smartphones; a device is provided.
- Ability to safely lift and handle dogs weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to safely guide or maneuver dogs weighing up to 100 pounds using van equipment, such as a lift or grooming table.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of dog grooming, including bathing, cutting, shaving, and trimming.
- Walk dogs before appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming van.
- Operate independently in a Hanvey grooming van.
- Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining a manageable daily schedule.
- Interact comfortably with customers and pet parents.
- Participate in training, ride-alongs, and a Community Day at local shelters and rescues.
