Entry Level Mobile Diesel Mechanic
About The Position
Cox Fleet is seeking individuals for their FleeTec Academy, a paid educational program designed to train aspiring technicians to become full-time Mobile Diesel Mechanics. This program offers free technical education, a set of hand tools and toolbox, and a pathway to a career in diesel maintenance without the burden of traditional technical school costs and tool expenses. The program includes intensive classroom training, hands-on experience with a Lead Technician, and a full-time job upon completion. Mobile Technicians utilize state-of-the-art vehicles to perform preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations.
Requirements
- Desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
- Willingness and ability to study hard.
- Dedication to being away from home for 10 weeks for training.
- Maturity level to focus on the task at hand.
- Technical aptitude and a passion for fixing vehicles.
- Ability to operate an iPad.
- Must be 21 years old to drive one of the company's trucks.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, driving record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physical examinations.

- High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education.
Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in five weeks of full-time schooling at the FleeTec Academy Campus.
- Undergo further hands-on training with a Lead Technician in your market.
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic.
- Operate a state-of-the-art vehicle equipped for repairs.
- Continue education through periodic classroom study to develop skill sets.
- Maintain a high level of maturity and focus on tasks during training and employment.
