About The Position
Advantage Truck Group (ATG), the largest DTNA dealer group in New England, is seeking a Licensed Massachusetts Commercial Vehicle Inspector for a mobile position based in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The inspector works independently at customer locations to verify vehicle information, inspect vehicle equipment and options, conduct basic mechanical inspections, analyze results, and maintain quality records. Candidates must pass a CORI check, criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
Requirements
- Class A or B commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Massachusetts Commercial Vehicle Inspector License.
- Ability to work independently at customer locations.
- Ability to lift 50–100 pounds and work in physically demanding positions, including bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- Must pass a CORI check, criminal background check, MVR check, and drug test.
Responsibilities
- Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system.
- Inspect and record vehicle equipment and options, including damage and missing or inoperable items.
- Perform basic mechanical inspections of powertrain, drivetrain, structural, and electrical components.
- Interpret and analyze inspection results.
- Maintain quality records as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
