About The Position

SonoVet Inc. is looking for a driven, upbeat veterinarian to build its newest region in Buffalo, NY and the surrounding area. This role offers the opportunity to work exclusively with primary care veterinarians, collaborate with board-certified specialists on complex cases, and deliver fast, high-quality diagnostic imaging. The position focuses on performing diagnostic ultrasound exams and providing accurate medical reports, with no ER shifts, owner conversations, or weekend/holiday calls.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• US state veterinary licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience.

Nice To Haves

• Ultrasound experience/training highly preferred.
• Proficiency in ultrasound is not required, but candidates that exhibit proficiency will be given priority consideration.
• A desire to become a master of medicine and cardiology through the lens of an ultrasound probe.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including abdominal and thoracic exams.
• Perform full Doppler echocardiograms, submitted to in-house cardiologists for interpretation.
• Perform thyroid and parathyroid exams.
• Perform cryptorchid exams.
• Perform ocular exams.
• Perform general health screening.
• Perform pregnancy evaluations.
• Perform ultrasound-guided fluid cavity centesis.
• Perform ultrasound-guided fine-needle and tru-cut core biopsies.
• Provide accurate, thorough, and timely medical reports.
