About The Position

The Merchandiser ensures the availability, visibility, and promotion of Coca-Cola beverages in retail stores within Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast’s territory. The role represents the brand and supports business success by keeping beverage sections, displays, coolers, and other points of availability stocked and maintained at proper product levels.

The position is based in Buffalo, NY, pays $20–$22.50 per hour, and follows a Thursday–Monday schedule with a 6:00 a.m. start time. Basic requirements include being at least 18 years old, holding a valid driver’s license, and having a vehicle with insurance that meets company guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, and pull up to 40–55 pounds; reach above head height; squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to push and pull manual and powered material-handling equipment containing product loads for at least 100 yards without assistance.
• Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance meeting or exceeding company requirements.
• At least 18 years old.
• A vehicle with insurance within company guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or a related field.
• Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability, including stocking shelves, rotating products, building displays, and maintaining product freshness.
• Maintain products on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers by identifying replenishment needs.
• Transport products between the backroom and display floor using manual equipment.
• Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns according to company guidelines, including setting up displays and signage.
• Secure damaged or defective product and maintain a clean product space.
• Manage backrooms and organize backstock to ensure accurate product counts.
• Operate manual and powered handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts and communicate status and concerns to store and company personnel.
• Follow company and store policies for backrooms, display floors, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
• Build and maintain relationships with store managers and staff, collaborate to maximize merchandising opportunities, and provide customer service.
• Write and place customer orders on an ad hoc basis as business needs require.
