About The Position

The IMA Group is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Buffalo, NY, starting at $18.50 per hour plus benefits. The role supports clinicians in delivering accurate, high-quality medical evaluations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays. The IMA Group’s Government Services Division provides medical and psychological examinations and ancillary services for government agencies; its Payer Services Division provides evaluation and screening services; and its Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II–IV clinical trials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support clinicians during patient evaluations and exams.
• Take vital signs and medical histories to prepare patients.
• Perform routine clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and respond to patient inquiries.
• Keep equipment and supplies organized and stocked.
