About The Position

Liberty Resources is seeking a Mobile Clinic Driver & Safety Lead to support the launch and operation of its community-based mobile health clinic. The role safely operates and maintains the clinic vehicle and serves as the primary safety and security representative during community operations. It combines vehicle operations, site safety assessments, emergency preparedness, asset protection, and patient and community engagement to support safe, effective healthcare delivery. The employee transports the mobile clinic to designated locations and remains onsite during clinic operations. They inspect and maintain the vehicle, help set up and break down clinic sites, secure equipment and supplies, maintain operational records, and coordinate vehicle and equipment servicing. During operations, they assess sites for hazards, support emergency response, promote safety and access control, assist patients and visitors, and coordinate with clinical teams and community partners. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with an annual salary of $55,000–$60,000. The position reports to the Safety & Security Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record and a required New York State R endorsement, or the ability to obtain the endorsement within 30 days of employment. A CDL is not required.
At least three years of professional driving experience.
Experience in safety, security, emergency services, military, law enforcement, healthcare security, transportation, facilities, or a related field.
Current New York State Security Guard License.
Strong situational awareness, risk assessment, communication, organizational, and customer service skills; sound judgment and the ability to remain calm during emergencies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical and operational teams in diverse community settings.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating large vehicles, buses, RVs, or commercial vehicles.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) training.
Crisis prevention, de-escalation, or workplace violence prevention training.
Healthcare, public health, or mobile service experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and transport the mobile health clinic to designated community locations, remain onsite during clinic operations, and follow traffic laws and organizational policies.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain vehicle cleanliness, readiness, and reliability; perform routine checks, fueling, and light maintenance; and coordinate vehicle, generator, and equipment servicing.
Set up and break down mobile clinic sites, assist with loading and securing equipment and supplies, manage water tank procedures as trained, and maintain mileage, fuel, travel, and maintenance records.
Conduct site safety assessments, identify hazards, monitor environmental conditions, and recommend safety measures.
Support emergency preparedness and response; respond to safety and security incidents; use appropriate de-escalation techniques to address disruptive behavior; and coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, fire departments, and community partners as needed.
Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, vehicles, equipment, medications, and organizational assets, including supporting access control and patient flow.
Welcome patients and visitors, provide directions and general assistance, support individuals with accessibility needs when appropriate, and foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Complete incident reports, operational documentation, and other records; participate in staff meetings, safety drills, and required training; and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
Coordinate backup driving coverage with qualified staff or designated drivers during planned and unplanned absences, ensuring required training and New York State R endorsements are in place.
Perform other duties, responsibilities, and related tasks as assigned.
