About The Position

The Mobile Case Aide assists agency staff and supervisors in providing human services to Child Protective Services (CPS) clients. The role includes transporting clients, supervising parent-child visits, documenting services and client contacts, and providing clerical support. The position interacts with Belong staff, representatives of other organizations, and the public. Although classified as hybrid, travel is required for up to 95% of the work week. Candidates must reside in Guadalupe County or the surrounding area. For positions funded by the Kinship Grant, duties are limited to Kinship Department placements; assistance outside that department may be restricted by funding guidelines. Mobile Case Aides may also work with Belong caseworkers to supervise children without placement, primarily ages 10–17, and help ensure their safety and needs—including food, hygiene, education, and recreation—are met during stays in office or community settings. This may require work outside the normal schedule, with overtime compensation potentially available. The position requires at least 40 hours per week. Additional time, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary to complete assigned work. The work environment may include home-like settings with moderate to high background noise and children with moderate to severe emotional and psychological needs. Physical requirements include mobility for stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and walking, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds.
