Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete - Blue Ridge
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential construction sites. The role operates a concrete mixer truck with a Class A or Class B CDL and represents SRM Concrete at job sites by providing professional, customer-focused service. Operators are home after each shift and follow consistent local routes; the company is closed every Sunday. The position also involves concrete quality checks, vehicle inspections and routine maintenance, compliance with safety requirements, recordkeeping, coordination with dispatch and plant teams, and general plant or yard duties as needed. Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and representing SRM’s values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck to safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service at job sites and represent SRM Concrete professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
