Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential construction sites. The operator represents the company at job sites and is expected to provide professional, accurate, timely service. The role includes loading, mixing, and inspecting concrete; vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks; compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols; maintaining delivery and vehicle records; coordinating with dispatch and plant teams; and assisting with general plant or yard duties as needed. Operators follow local routes, return home after each shift, and do not work Sundays.
Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to customer service and representing SRM’s values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, climb ladders or stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, motivated attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck with a Class A or Class B CDL to transport and deliver ready mix concrete safely to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent SRM Concrete professionally at job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
