Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to operate a concrete mixer truck and transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites. The role represents SRM Concrete at customer locations and is responsible for timely, accurate deliveries and professional, service-focused customer interactions. Operators load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications, inspect and maintain their vehicles, follow safety requirements, keep records, and coordinate with dispatch and plant teams. They may also assist with general plant or yard duties. Operators are home after every shift, and the company is closed on Sundays.
Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to customer service and representing SRM’s values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders or stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery; motivated newcomers willing to learn are also welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent SRM Concrete professionally at job sites.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
