About The Position
SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring Mixer Operators (also known as Ready Mix Truck Drivers, CDL Mixer Drivers, and Concrete Mixer Operators) to join their growing team. This role is for skilled CDL drivers who take pride in delivering outstanding customer service. The position involves operating a concrete mixer truck to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites. The driver will be responsible for loading, mixing, and inspecting concrete to meet precise specifications and quality standards. A key aspect of the role is delivering excellent customer service at every job site, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and a service-first attitude. The job also includes performing pre- and post-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and adhering to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols. Maintaining accurate delivery and vehicle records, coordinating with dispatch and plant teams, and assisting with general plant or yard duties are also part of the responsibilities. The company emphasizes that drivers will be home daily and will not work on Sundays.
Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
- Proven safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service and representing SRM’s values on every job.
- Physically able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, “Go-Getter” attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery is a plus—but we welcome motivated newcomers ready to learn!
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck (Class A or B CDL) to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service at every job site, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and a service-first attitude.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the public.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate with dispatch and plant teams for efficient scheduling and routing.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
