About The Position

Tecumseh Animal Clinic, located in Tecumseh, Nebraska, is seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their laid-back, close-knit team. The practice is deeply rooted in the local farming and ranching community, emphasizing relationships with clients and their animals. They offer flexible, compassionate care and work with clients to provide personalized treatment options that respect both financial and animal care needs. The clinic operates as a dual-hospital team with Adams Animal Care, offering a diverse caseload including small animals, large animals, and exotics. Some days are small-animal focused, while others involve farm calls and large animal work. On-site large animal services include a heated back area and a hydraulic chute. The role involves practicing both General Practice and Urgent Care, with opportunities to work with Small, Large, and Equine patients. The position offers a diverse caseload, allowing for expansion of expertise and care across a wide range of species. New graduates are welcome and will receive personalized, 1-on-1 mentorship.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • Experience or interest in equine care, surgery, and general practice.
  • Willingness to work with a diverse caseload including small animals, large animals, and exotics.
  • Ability to work in a team-based culture.
  • Valid veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide veterinary care for mixed animal caseloads, including small animals, large animals, and exotics.
  • Conduct farm calls and perform large animal work.
  • Offer on-site large animal services, utilizing a heated back area and hydraulic chute.
  • Practice General Practice and Urgent Care.
  • Work with small, large, and equine patients.
  • Expand expertise and provide care across a wide range of species.
  • Participate in a rotating weekend schedule and on-call emergency shifts.
  • Chart at home using ProVet Cloud-based Software.
