About The Position

Spoon River Animal Clinic is seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their team. This role involves practicing mixed animal medicine and providing exceptional care to companion animals, equine patients, and livestock throughout the Canton community and surrounding rural areas. The clinic offers a competitive ProSal compensation with no negative accrual, and a sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance is available. The schedule is full-time preferred (part-time considered) with a four-day work week, rotating every third Saturday, and a dedicated lunch break.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Active Illinois veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA and MO BNDD License (or ability to obtain)
• Small & large animal knowledge/interest

Responsibilities

• Practicing mixed animal medicine
• Treating dogs, cats, horses, cattle, swine, small ruminants, and occasional exotics
• Providing preventive care and surgery
• Conducting herd health consultations
• Performing equine dentistry
• Conducting farm calls
