About The Position

Elk Park Animal Hospital is seeking a Mixed Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to join their longstanding community fixture, which is one of the largest and busiest facilities in the area. The hospital operates out of over 3,700 sq. ft. and features three exam rooms, offering essential services five days a week, including on-call and mobile assistance for large animals and emergencies. Their comprehensive services include digital radiology, cold laser therapy, orthopedic surgery, dentistry, cutting-edge diagnostics, and a complete pharmacy. They also provide Chinese medicine, acupuncture, physical therapy, and herbal medicine. The clinic has an average daily patient volume of 12, with a 3:1 support staff ratio. The case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and a majority of small animal caseload.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)
Compassionate, client-centered approach to care
Strong communication and client-education skills
Experience with clinic leadership and/or mentorship to take on MD role
