About The Position

The Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market, brought to Savannah by Sage Restaurant Concepts, is located within Perry Lane Hotel. This role involves providing guests with a fully stocked and well-maintained mini bar. Responsibilities include taking inventory, posting charges, cleaning, stocking, and ordering inventory. The ideal candidate will be welcoming, creative, and polished with a heart for service, contributing to an energetic community space that delights the senses.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar position of 3 months or longer.
  • High school graduate level mathematical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of ordering procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of safe food handling processes.
  • Past experience in dealing directly with the public.
  • General knowledge of basic customer service skills.
  • Competent in oral and written English.
  • Vision ability to read written communications and handle paperwork processing.
  • Moderate comprehension and literacy to read records and special requests.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organized.
  • Able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks.
  • Able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guests with a fully stocked and well-maintained mini bar.
  • Take accurate inventory of all in-room mini bars.
  • Post appropriate charges to the guest room bill.
  • Clean and defrost the mini bars.
  • Maintain and stock inventory.
  • Order inventory from the storeroom.
  • Check and keep track of items that will expire in one month.
  • Ensure the mini bar is cleaned and free of dust.
  • Clean the refrigerator once every 3 months.
  • Take out all beverages and wipe down the shelf.
  • Wipe down the top of the fridge and both sides to ensure it's free of dust.
  • Clean the mini-bar snack tray once every 2 months.
  • Take out all snacks and use a microfiber cloth to wipe the tray.
  • Check the temperature of the refrigerator to ensure it's working properly.
  • Restock and manage inventory of the refreshment center.
  • Accurately charge guest folios.
  • Complete assigned paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete work orders for any deficiencies found in the guest room.
  • Keep guest rooms secure at all times.
  • Clear all soiled In Room Dining Trays from rooms to the elevator landing and bring them to the dish pit.
