About The Position

The Minibar Attendant is responsible for all activities related to the Mini Bar, including organization, preparation, and performing service according to the hotel's standards. This role provides courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service consistent with departmental standards to maximize guest satisfaction during their stay.

Requirements

  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Food Handlers License/Certificate
  • Basset License/Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Handle and organize all inventories required by Mini Bar, including inventory of expiration dates and FIFO rotation of all stock.
  • Understand, accurately follow, and perform Mini Bar procedures as per standards and policies.
  • Consistently replace Minibar items in guest rooms per consumption.
  • Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment related to Minibar operation.
  • Have full understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the minibar menu.
  • Perform and adhere to established standards of preparation, presentation, and delivery of high-quality, discreet, and unobtrusive service to guests.
  • Be courteous and display a professional attitude to guests at all times.
  • Establish rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships.
  • Ensure the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and waste.
  • Read departmental bulletin board daily to remain current on information regarding the day’s business.
  • Be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
  • Handle complaints or guest concerns.
  • Give feedback on guest comments to management.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by management/supervisor.
  • Respond to any changes in the department’s functions as directed by the hotel.
  • Take breaks only as scheduled by management/supervisor.
  • Ensure all side-work and daily responsibilities are completed by the end of the shift.
  • Check with management before leaving.
  • Attend and contribute to all Staff meetings, Departmental and Hotel training scheduled and other related activities.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management.
