About The Position

The Milieu Manager is a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate interventions within the therapeutic environment. The role focuses on providing a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and in-the-moment coaching. The Milieu Manager is also responsible for implementing programs, training, and patient care. The position collaborates with Behavioral Care Technicians under the supervision of the House Supervisor and oversees and manages Milieu Coordinators in the unit’s daily operations alongside the House Supervisor. The role works with the Nurse Educator and assists with floor training during orientation. The schedule is an afternoon shift and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of CPR certification, age-specific training, and current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of seclusion and restraint, within 90 days of employment.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Complete Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) Instructor training.
• Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory standards: OhioMHAS, TJC, CMS, and TRICARE.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Communicate verbal and written information clearly, in an organized and positive manner, to all age groups.

Nice To Haves

• BA or BS degree in a related mental health field.
• Three years of experience in a children’s mental health setting.
