About The Position
We're hiring now for a MIG Welder in Lavonia, GA. This position offers weekly pay of $19.00 per hour, direct deposit & debit card payment options, and health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. You'll get weekends off and overtime is available.
Requirements
- GED / High School Diploma
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass a background check
- Able to work in the US
- Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
- Proven experience as welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Proficient in English
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
Nice To Haves
- MIG Welder experience preferred
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) a plus
- AWS welding certificate
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints prior to starting a project
- Source the materials to be used in the project
- Measure and cut materials to specifications
- Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
- Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
