About The Position
Skilled Trades Specialists is seeking experienced MIG Welders with the ability to read prints and/or perform basic math, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop. Applicants must have prior MIG welding experience and be able to pass a leak test. The company provides test preparation at its shop. This is not an entry-level position. Workers who work seven consecutive days receive double-time pay on Sundays.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a MIG Welder or in a similar role.
- Ability to pass the required leak/pressure test.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting welding specifications, or ability to learn.
- Ability to read prints and/or perform basic math.
- Ability and willingness to continue learning.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding operations on various metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble metal parts.
- Operate cranes and other lifting equipment to move heavy materials.
- Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
