Microsoft Intune Enterprise Specialist
About The Position
The State of Mississippi’s Mississippi State Department of Health is seeking a Microsoft Intune and Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) Specialist to plan, configure, implement, and support its mobile device and endpoint management environment using Microsoft Intune, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID. The specialist will manage device enrollment, compliance policies, Conditional Access, application deployment, security baselines, Apple Business Manager and Android Enterprise integrations, migration activities, troubleshooting, documentation, and knowledge transfer. The role collaborates with agency IT staff to modernize and streamline enterprise mobile device management in alignment with state, federal, and agency security standards. The position is based in Jackson, Mississippi, with a 50% remote arrangement and occasional onsite work as required. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week). The engagement is for at least one year from the projected start date. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
- Experience implementing enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and Apple Device Enrollment Program / Automated Device Enrollment (DEP/ADE).
- Experience configuring Conditional Access, compliance policies, and device security policies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint security best practices.
- Experience with device enrollment, application deployment, and policy management.
- Ability to troubleshoot enrollment, synchronization, and device compliance issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience documenting technical processes and providing knowledge transfer to agency staff.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in state government or public-sector environments.
- Experience migrating from Meraki or other MDM platforms to Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Windows Autopilot and endpoint provisioning.
- Familiarity with STIG, CIS, or other security compliance standards.
- Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Azure, or endpoint management.
- Experience integrating MDM solutions with ticketing or asset management systems.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Responsibilities
