About The Position

This is an open position with Mon Power, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., based at the Clarksburg Service Center. The starting rate is $21.60, with a top rate of $30.34. The role involves reading meters at customer premises, identifying and reporting service diversion or meter irregularities, and performing other assigned meter-service and customer-related duties. Use of a personal four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle is required; eligible mileage may be reimbursed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must live within 40 minutes of the reporting service center.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must possess and use an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle to read meters; eligible for mileage reimbursement.
• Ability to safely drive and walk in all types of weather and over all types of terrain.
• Ability to successfully deal with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous meter reading experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read meters installed on customer premises.
• Visually check for and report service diversion and meter irregularities.
• Perform collection activities when assigned.
• Perform single-phase reconnects, disconnects, and meter exchanges when assigned.
• Perform duties in alignment with storm restoration efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
