About The Position

This is an open position with Mon Power, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., based at the Clarksburg Service Center. The starting rate is $21.60, with a top rate of $30.34. The role involves reading customer meters, identifying and reporting service diversion or meter irregularities, and may include collection work, single-phase reconnects and disconnects, and meter exchanges. The position also supports storm restoration efforts. A personal all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle is required for meter reading; mileage reimbursement is available to eligible employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Live within 40 minutes of the reporting service center.
• Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Possess and use an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle to read meters; eligible for mileage reimbursement.
• Ability to safely drive and walk in all types of weather and over all types of terrain.
• Ability to successfully deal with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

• Previous meter reading experience.

Responsibilities

• Read meters on customer premises and visually check for and report service diversion and meter irregularities.
• Perform collection activities when assigned.
• Perform single-phase reconnects, disconnects, and meter exchanges when assigned.
• Perform duties in alignment with storm restoration efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Use a personal all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle to read meters.
