About The Position

WALCO Tool & Engineering is seeking a polisher to finish high-precision components. The role polishes stainless steel weldments to blend welds and establish grain directions, deburrs sharp machined edges on stainless steel, common steel, aluminum, and plastic materials, stamps part numbers, assembles machined components to customer specifications, and packages parts to prevent shipping damage. The polisher also keeps the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using handheld power tools to polish stainless steel weldments and establish grain direction.
• Experience blending and polishing welds to #4 food-grade requirements.
• Experience using deburring tools such as files and abrasive products.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
• Desire to work with your hands and take pride in a job well done.
• Ability to physically lift, push, or pull objects up to 40 pounds.
