About The Position
As a Lowe's Merchandising Services Associate, you connect Merchandising and Store Operations to help deliver a strong shopping experience. You maintain accurate signage, pricing information, and displays so merchandise is easy to find, and build displays that are safe, clean, visually appealing, and accessible to customers. Most work does not involve customer interaction, but associates may assist customers by answering questions, sharing product or warranty information, and helping locate or handle merchandise. The role involves completing merchandising resets and service projects, validating product and wayfinding information, preparing buyback items for shipment, and maintaining merchandise and displays. Associates communicate project priorities and schedules with the Merchandising Services Team and Manager, and provide feedback on project execution. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Working conditions can include indoor and outdoor environments, varied and extreme weather, noise, and moving equipment or objects.
Requirements
- Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to hear, listen, and communicate verbally with others.
- Ability to use web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or over 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Lowe's sales floor experience.
- Experience performing product merchandising tasks, including reading planograms and setting up and tearing down displays.
- Experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Working knowledge of essential tools, such as hand tools, drills, and saws.
- Bilingual, military, and veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Complete merchandising resets and service-related projects according to Lowe's specifications and provide proof of completion for assigned tasks.
- Verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepared, and ready for shipping.
- Update and validate wayfinding and product-location signage, including maintaining the information digitally throughout the store.
- Confirm product pricing is clearly visible and replace missing price labels.
- Support add-on sales by staging clearance products, sorting merchandise into proper locations, and placing displays appropriately.
- Repair or replace damaged or missing signage, merchandise, and displays.
- Communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs with the Merchandising Services Team and Manager.
- Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
- Engage with customers when appropriate, answer questions, communicate product or warranty information, and help locate or handle merchandise.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
