About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to partner for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. The role focuses on coaching and developing the team to deliver AEO visual and brand standards, execute floorsets, maintain effective replenishment, and keep the store guest-ready. The Merchandising Team Leader also serves as a key Leader on Duty, supports sales and store financial performance, leads team development, and ensures operational, safety, and asset protection standards are met.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• General understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the store’s merchandising strategy in partnership with the Store Team Leader.
• Train and coach the team to deliver AEO visual, merchandising, marketing, and customer service standards.
• Lead floorset execution, daily merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment.
• Keep the store, Salesfloor, and Fitting Rooms guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
• Serve as a key Leader on Duty and maximize Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity to drive sales and guest loyalty.
• Analyze reports and daily trends to inform business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
• Help develop short- and long-term business plans to drive key performance indicators.
• Motivate and inspire the team while holding associates accountable to customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire talent to ensure staffing meets business needs.
• Train and develop associates, provide ongoing performance feedback and real-time coaching, and conduct team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews.
• Support associate engagement by recognizing and celebrating strong performance.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures and maintain visual standards throughout store zones.
• Maintain store safety and asset protection standards and follow company policies and procedures.
