About The Position

The Merchandising Lead provides member service by identifying member needs, assisting with self-service technology and purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting company products and services. The role supports management in supervising associates, including assigning work, communicating goals and feedback, training, coaching, scheduling, and participating in hiring and evaluation. The position receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, maintains the sales floor and product displays, and completes required documentation. It supports facility safety, merchandise quality and sanitation, inventory rotation, claims and returns, pricing, and shrink prevention. The Merchandising Lead also oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders. The role develops and implements processes in collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; monitors results and improvement opportunities; and promotes ethical conduct and compliance with company policies. It leads and participates in teams, supports associates through change, and demonstrates the company’s values of respect, integrity, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide member service by identifying needs, supporting use of self-service technology, helping with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
Assist management with supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training, and providing direction on member service.
Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and vendors, and organize and maintain the sales floor.
Complete required paperwork, logs, and other documentation according to company policies and procedures.
Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous-material handling procedures, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.
Maintain sales-floor presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, organizing merchandise, setting up and cleaning displays, removing damaged goods, and signing and pricing merchandise.
Identify shrink and damage, and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Monitor food and merchandise quality, product rotation, code dating, recalls, and sanitation standards.
Oversee the picking and staging of club pickup orders and ensure orders are handled according to company procedures.
Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs, monitor results, and identify improvement opportunities.
Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and standards, and assist management with addressing compliance issues.
Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, support work quality and timelines, and help others adapt to change.
Build trusting relationships, communicate effectively, and help develop and mentor other associates.
