About The Position
Jacent is seeking a Merchandiser to work in stores in the Iowa City, Iowa area. Merchandisers place products, build displays, and work with store personnel to support retail merchandising programs. The role involves cultivating relationships with in-store management, executing resets, building retail displays, merchandising impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks, and implementing plan-o-grams. The position offers daytime hours and a predictable schedule for 10–15 hours per week, with paid training, mileage and travel time paid between stores, cell phone reimbursement, and advancement opportunities. Candidates must reside within 20 miles of Iowa City, IA 52240 and be able to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Be a self-starter and quick learner who enjoys working independently and in a team setting.
- Be comfortable in changing environments.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without a reasonable accommodation: standing and walking for 3–8 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and crouching, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive hand movements.
- Possess excellent organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with business partners.
