About The Position

Jacent is hiring a Merchandiser to work in stores in the Cherokee, Iowa area. Merchandisers place products, build displays, and work with store personnel in their local community. This role is scheduled for 10 hours per week, with daytime hours and a predictable schedule. Pay depends on experience. Paid training, mileage and travel time paid between stores, cell phone reimbursement, and advancement opportunities are offered. New hires in eligible requisitions receive a $500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after 60 days and 120 days of continuous employment.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter and quick learner.
• Enjoy working independently and in a team setting.
• Be comfortable in changing environments.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: standing and walking for 3–8 hours; lifting up to 50 pounds; crouching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
• Possess excellent organizational skills.
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with business partners.
• Reside within 20 miles of Cherokee, IA 51012.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with in-store management.
• Execute merchandising resets.
• Build retail displays.
• Merchandise impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks.
• Implement plan-o-grams.
