About The Position

Merchandisers are the final stop in the distribution process, stocking and rotating beverage products after delivery so they are ready for sale. The role works closely with Delivery, Sales, and retail partners to provide customer service across assigned accounts in the Olympia, Lacey, Yelm, and Shelton areas. Merchandisers work mostly indoors in retail accounts, with occasional outdoor work, and drive a personal vehicle on an assigned route. They do not transport product in their personal vehicles.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance for driving positions.
Own and be able to operate a mobile smartphone device.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet productivity deadlines using organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Strong work ethic and self-accountability.
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds repetitively and up to 60 pounds.
Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds using a manual cart or pallet jack.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, squat, use arms, wrists, and hands, grasp, and climb stairs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors and operate a vehicle and manual, non-powered equipment.
Availability to work both weekend days; workdays and hours vary, and overtime may be necessary.
Ability to travel locally; regional travel may be requested.

Responsibilities

Work product from store back stock and/or delivery loads, handling cases, bottles, and cans of beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages for sale or storage.
Fill and rotate products in cold boxes and on dry shelves.
Build and maintain displays and use point-of-sale materials as needed.
Drive a personal vehicle on the assigned route; do not transport product in the personal vehicle.
Provide excellent customer service to assigned accounts.
Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and others encountered on the job.
Communicate directly with store personnel and Sales teammates to complete account services effectively.
Accurately clock in and out using the required timekeeping application and follow state labor laws regarding breaks.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Core Values.
Complete other assigned tasks or projects.
